This seems like a simple question. After all, the gospel stands at the center of Christianity. The gospel is what Christians and churches claim to be ALL about. It is what we intend to establish our lives upon and build our churches around. It is the gospel that we are called to proclaim to people far from God, and we pray they will hear it and receive it. Yet, the gospel is often misunderstood and difficult to define...even among Christians.
