The ability to lead others begins with the ability to lead yourself. The truth of the matter is that if you cannot lead yourself…you are simply not qualified to lead others.
You can’t expect people to follow you if you don’t have the capacity to lead yourself. People quickly lose respect for leaders that are undisciplined and lack character. People will stop listening to you if you are not walking your talk.
Lead yourself so you can lead others . People follow you because they first see something within you worth following. As you develop discipline and character in your personal life, you gain credibility in your public life. As you gain credibility in your public life, people will begin to follow you because you’re worth following.
