Technology is a way of life for the next generation. They are not impressed with the latest iPhone app or piece of technology…they expect it. Technology is influencing how younger generations learn and retain information. According to the infograph from http://www.learnstuff.com, 70% of children between the ages of 2-5 can operate a computer mouse, but only 11% of them can tie their own shoes. At the start of the 21st century only half of all school classrooms had Internet access, compared to 98% today.
Graduating With Technology
This has huge ramifications in our Next Gen Ministries. The kids and students in our churches don’t appreciate the use of technology in our ministries…they expect it.

To reach the next generation for Christ, the creative use of technology is NOT something we use to enhance our worship experiences. But rather, it is essential to & expected in our Next Generation Ministries.

How are you using technology to reach the next generation for Christ?

  1. Eric, this is huge because Technology is definitely a big part of our lives and our children’s lives. This is a great strategy we need to be thinking about and implementing ASAP, we are already behind the 8 ball if we haven’t started.
