Is your spouse invisible?

How often do you tell your wife she is beautiful or your husband that he is handsome? Do your eyes still light up with they walk in the room? Or does your spouse feel invisible?

As a pastor, I talk to far too many marriages that are struggling and in trouble. These couples start out head over heels in love with each other. They devote lots of time to their relationship. They notice their spouse every time he or she walks in the room. Date nights and weekend getaways provide fuel for their marriage.

But overtime, they drift apart. The remote control replaces an intimate conversation. Date nights become a thing of the past. They stop noticing each other and begin to take each other for granted. And before too long, couples can be in the same room with each other and feel invisible.

As a result, they seek attention from other people outside of their marriage because they are not getting the attention they need at home.

Take a few minutes to watch this short film titled Invisible by my good friend, Phil Stevens. Phil is a filmmaker, writer, and actor. He is also the creator of “Marriage Pressure Points”, a series of short films designed to take an honest look at the brokenness in marriages and provide a glimmer of hope thought grace and love.

This video is a great reminder that if we’re not careful and intentional, we can all make our spouse feel invisible. So tell your wife how much you love her and show your husband you still desire to be with him.

Thank-you for the kind words and amazing support my friend. I know that you also have a heart to protect marriages from Satan’s schemes. I love that about you and Nicole. I am honored that you featured this. Thank-you.
